This year will probably be remembered for record snowfall around the Great Lakes. After several years of seeing grass in the middle of winter, it is nice to see a more traditional winter.
Sunday, February 9th – Looking towards the bay from snow-covered trails at the west end of Beach area 5.Monday, February 10th, 2025 – Looking north towards Linda Lane. The drifts and snowbanks have made walking across the provincial park hard, so I find myself retreating to the roads when the snow is too deep.Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 – This picture was taken looking towards the Blue Mountains from near 57th street. It is tiring to walk on the snowmobile trails.Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 – Looking Northwest from near 57th streetThursday, February 13th, 2025 – As this picture shows, we have a good two feet of snow in our front yard and expect more snow in the coming week.Friday, February 14th, 2025 – This is one of the larger snowdrifts on Shore Lane, taken a few blocks west of Beach area 5. Not all of the properties are occupied this time of year.Saturday, February 15th, 2025 – This picture shows the extent of the drifting along ShoreLane east of Beach area 3. A snow drift entirely covers this house. I haven’t been able to get to the beach side of the house to see what the front yard looks like.
