This is a depressing time of year with perpetual clouds and cool temperatures. The week’s highlight was our trip to the new Wasaga Beach Casino on Friday!
Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 – This picture taken along the beach 2 parking lot near 4th street looking our across the bay towards Collingwood.Tuesday, November 29, 2022 – With south winds, the water had receded, so I walked out along a sandbar to take this picture. Near beach six is the only part of the beach with rocks.Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 – An evening walk with very high winds. When waves come in they are sweeping the entire beach clear.Thursday, December 1st, 2022 – The north winds were even higher today. Rogue waves were creating ponds and completely eroding beach 2.Thursday, December 1st, 2022 – well – this is new! The down has cleared beach drive, but they’ve left the sand in place. I assume this is to protect the shops along the beach from inevitable storms and high water, but I’m not sure.Friday, December 2nd, 2022 – You could hand landed an aircraft on the beach today. Rock hard and as smooth as a runaway for miles.Friday, December 2nd, 2022 – Wow! Wasaga Beach is a real town now. The Match restaurant at the new Casino is our new favorite dinner spot.
