As we pass Canada Day, the beach is in top form. It’s great to see everything fully back to normal after COVID disrupted things for the last couple of years. Spectacular weather. The highlight of the week was a trip back home to Sudbury for the Lasalle High School reunion.
Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 – They’ve erected a new sign a beach 6 near 50th street, designated for kite surfers.
Monday, July 3th, 2023 – Looking east across beach one. Lots of people enjoying the water.
Monday, July 3rd, 2023 – Wasaga Beach Parasail is a great new business that has sprung up @ Wasaga Beach. You can check out the website at https://www.wasagabeachparasail.com/
Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 – I shot this picture looking out from beach 6 as the sun was setting. A spectacular July 4th this year.
Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 – Taken near 57th street during my daily walk
Thursday, July 6th, 2023 – The problem with hot temperatures is that they often come with volatile weather conditions. Extreme weather along Beach one.
Friday, July 7th, 2023 – On Friday I headed up to Sudbury to attend the Lasalle Reunion. The organizing committee arranged for this awesome display @ Bell Park on Ramsey Lake. This was the weekend of the Northern Lights Festival Boréal. https://nlfb.ca/. This awesome summer event has been taking place in Sudbury since 1972.
Friday, July 7th, 2023 – This is a “SplashNGo” Adventures park setup deployed along the waterfront at Lake Ramsey. They have locations across Northern Ontario. https://splashngo.ca/
Friday, July 7th, 2023 – Turning abandoned structures into works of art may be controversial, but I like it. This is the former Sudbury General hospital (where I was born). I was also treated there for a broken leg in Grade 8. Unfortunately it is abandoned now on the Ramsey wasterfront near Bell Park. I say it adds character. 🙂
Friday, July 7th 2023 – Shades of Midnight performing at the Gym in Lasalle during my high school reunion. https://www.facebook.com/ringoshades57/
July 7th, 2023 – Walking down the halls of Lasalle for the last time. 🙂
Saturday, July 8th, 2023 – I decided to cut my trip to Sudbury a little short, and got back to Wasaga in time to walk the beach on Saturday afternoon.
